When can I enroll my child?

Expressing your interest in enrollment is non-binding and does not commit your student to enroll in our school. WMCS will host our inaugural enrollment lottery in March 2027, to officially offer classroom seats for the August 2027 school opening. Once offered a seat, families will complete a registration packet which enrolls their student(s) for the 2027-2028 school year.

What will be required for enrollment?

Our enrollment zone is determined once we’re authorized as a public charter school. We anticipate that all students who are residents of Carroll County will be eligible to apply to West Maple Charter School. Therefore, proof of residency will be required.

The school will not discriminate on the basis of intellectual or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, disability, proficiency in English, or any other basis prohibited by law. Students will not be required to complete any test or measure in order to be admitted. Once enrolled and the school year begins, West Maple Charter School students will participate in formative assessments that will inform staff and families of academic strengths and learning gaps.
